After taking down Mumbai Indians by fire in the elimination match of the playoffs, defending champions Chennai Super Kings will be facing the Delhi Daredevils at M.A Chidambaram stadium on the 25th of May, 2012. Both teams will put in their best for a place in the final and the match will surely offer some nail biting cricket to watch.
Ben Hilfenhaus will be the key man for Chennai Super Kings in the bowling department as he is a spearhead of CSK’s fast bowling attack. Hilfenhaus, although has not taken too many wickets but has managed to keep it tight at crucial situations. Ravichandran Ashwin has been Dhoni’s most reliable and economic bowler for this season so far. Ashwin has kept it tight though not taking too many wickets.
CSK skipper MS Dhoni once again proved himself that he will serve for the team when it is needed the most. His heroics were seen against the Mumbai Indians match.
Mr Mike Hussey is playing sensibly and it seems to be getting even better along with the tournament’s progress. Mike Hussey hasn’t made it big yet, but it is important that this guy stays at the crease for a while as he is the bridge between the top and middle order batsmen. Murali Vijay looked in good shape, but the Chennai local player needs to be more patient like his partner, Mike Hussey.
At the Delhi Daredevils end, being the team at its best form they will have to give in all that they have. Virendra Sehwag and David Warner have the firepower to break down the bowlers morale at any stage with their hard hitting.
Morne Morkel is the leading wicket taker of this season with 25 wicket in 16 matches. The tall man is keeping his bowling difficult to play by mixing up his slow bouncers short balls and good length deliveries. He will be the one whom Sehwag will expect to perform at his best.
