Posted on 08 May 2024 by admin

for the 52nd match of the DLF IPL 2012 season, Pune Warriors India will host Rajasthan Royals in their home ground. Pune Warriors India has lost five of their last six clashes even though the defeat margins in the last two have been just one and seven runs.

Rajasthan too had been struggling until they crushed Kings XI Punjab by 43 runs on May 5. Before that win, they too had lost three matches on the trot.

Pune were hoping that the addition of Michael Clarke in their ranks would give a boost to their batting but the Australian skipper is yet to fire. In three matches he has scored 56 runs, out of which 41 came in one match.

Ajinkya Rahane, Rahul Darvid are still the best among the lot for the Rajasthan Royals. Rahane is leading the top run getter list with 463 runs at an average of 51.00, while the Royals’ skiper Rahul Dravid is sixth in the list.

Match 47: Kolkata Knight Riders Vs. Pune Warriors India Preview

Posted on 05 May 2024 by admin

The 47th match of IPL 5 is played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Pune Warriors India. It is very important match for both sides. Pune are in the losing streak now. After winning first 2 games they have lost 6 in last 8 played matches. But the team looks better after M Clarke has entered in Pune. They are making several changes in every match and that is creating problems in the team. On the other hand Kolkata will register their name into Semifinals (Play-offs) if they win this match against Pune.

From KKR squad Gautam Gambhir is in fine touch and the Kolkata Knight Riders are riding well on it. Out of the nine matches played Gambhir has scored 365 runs (four fifties) at an average of 52. Out of the seven matches played, Sunil Narine’s has taken 12 wickets at an economy rate of 5.53 and holds a strike rate of 14.

Yusuf Pathan has not done a single good for his team so far in this season, but the hard hitter cannot be neglected for his lack of form.

Sourav Ganguly’s Men will have to play hard to fix the damage created due to the consecutive loses. Pune Warriors India has lost the momentum in the mid way of the tournament which is a vital blow for them.

Clarke’s contribution heavily needed for the team which is struggling to progress in the ending stage of the tournament. Michael Clarke will have to start delivering the team with runs in every single match he plays from now on. Though not a big hitter of the ball, Clarke can score quickly and with his traditional cricketing shots, he is difficult player to dismiss.

Teams
