I hear an obscure player by the name of Jonathon "Crates" Bates is looking at entering the IPL. An Australian medium in the Bruce Reid mould, last seen playing for the Baggy Marones.

Mate, we've all thought about playing for the England National Team, but it's a good move that you didn't do it.

Maybe I just make myself wealthy and start my own IPL team?

Hi Aslam,
Firstly welcome to the site! What is the feeling in India about Symonds and some of the Aussies playing in the IPL? Will cricket and good sportsmanship prevail or will the same angst continue over?
Its a bit of a shame, because in my mind what happens on the field stays on the field, though any racism really should be cut out (on both sides).
Being an aussie I really think that the aussie team needs to toughen up. Plus I am a big big big fan of the Indian team.
